Welcome to Lily’s Journey! This is my first blog and I am looking forward to sharing it with you. I decided to start Lily’s Journey to capture my witty banter on a variety of topics including goal scoring, living with siblings, life at the beach and chocolate brownies.
Yay it is so close to Autumn and I am going to show you some fall related treats.
Drink!!! So first for the drink you will need an orange soda, scissors, green ribbon, and a permanent marker. First you will take the orange soda and tear the wrapper off and then you will use your permanent marker and draw a spooky pumpkin face on the soda. Then when you are done drawing you will take the green ribbon and tie it around near the top of your cup. And there you have it a halloween/fall related party drink!!!
Snack!!! For the snack you will need nutter butter bites, melted chocolate, chocolate chips and large chocolate chips. First you grab one nutter butter bite and dunk a side in the melted chocolate then you put a large chocolate chip and stick it on. Next you will grab a tiny chocolate chip and dunk the bottom in melted chocolate and stick it on the opposite side. Now you have a tiny acorn snack!!! Hope you try and enjoy the snacks!!!
Since it is the beginning of the school year and teachers and students are still trying to get into the routine of the day. So today was my first real clarinet lesson that I had since the beginning of the summer which was like forever ago so I was super excited to meet the new band teacher. So when I got to school he was like super nice he was very kind the times I messed up and super supportive!!! He showed me some new rhymes and songs that will help me improve me as a clarinet player:).
Today is my little brothers birthday. They are identical twins and are now 8 years old. Early this morning they each were surprised by a punching bag that they can use to play with. I also made them a card saying Lily is going to take you to get some fish. They were excited about that. They are asking for a whole bunch of things including a turtle and I hope they will have a great day. So we will see if they get anything exotic!!!
Today was my first day of school I became a fifth grader and have amazing and humorous teachers and friends!!! I have ten periods of my school day one special and many classes!!! Some of my classes are english, E.L.A., math, science, social studies, art, music, band, PE, and library. Also after school I also have a two hour practice after school. If it was anybody else’s first day on September 5th comment down below!!! I know this is going to be a stressful, exciting, and wonderful year!!!
The other day I let my guinea pigs go outside for the very first time!!! We did it one at a time so we could keep an eye on them easier. First we did Bailey it took a little time for her to get used to it. We set her on the grass she tried to eat it but we decided not to let her because we were unsure if it was good for her or not so we didn’t take the chance. After around ten minutes we saw she got a little braver and she started to run around like she does in her cage!!! It was exciting knowing she is now comfortable in a new environment!!!
Next was A.J. she was really brave when we took her out she immediately started tor run she was a little to brave for me so we had to bring her back inside so she can go in her cage and relax. Knowing that A.J. was so brave outside we decided to wait to do Luna!!! Although we were unable to bring Luna out it was still an exciting day.
Welcome back today we will be talking about gardens and the one that my family are growing!!! So far in our garden there are many fruits and vegetables here are some things we are growing. Catnip, watermelon, cantaloupe, broccoli, strawberries, apples, carrots, morning glories, wildflowers, herbs, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We grow a lot in our garden. We tend to them everyday making sure they are growing correctly, watered regularly and weeded. We also pick all the foods that are ripe. We use the ripe foods for our meals and snacks we cook a whole lot with the amount of food we are growing!!! Hope you start a garden!!!
